It’s that time again! In November of 2016, we announced our inaugural group of eleven Walking Classroom Ambassadors, selected by us from the many wonderful teachers and out-of-school professionals using our program.
The following March, we offered all of our adopters the opportunity to apply to join this select group and identified seven additional Walking Classroom Ambassadors. And this March, we repeated the process! After reviewing the applications, we have selected four more Walking Classroom Ambassadors.
What Makes a Walking Classroom Ambassador?
Our Walking Classroom Ambassadors are special folks. They make it a pleasure to do what we do! How? These folks exceed our expectations! They impress us not only with their dedication to their profession, but also their implementation of The Walking Classroom. They continually inspire us, provide valuable feedback, and encourage us to do our best so that they can better serve those in their care.
Who are These Additional Ambassadors?
Wondering just who makes up these additional Ambassadors? Over the next several months, you will have the opportunity to “meet” these educators in several ways. Those selected will appear on a Walking Classroom Ambassadors page on our website and be profiled as part of a series in our blog. They will also be highlighted in our monthly newsletter and annual report.
What Do They Get?
Being a Walking Classroom Ambassador certainly has its benefits! These go well beyond recognition in electronic and print media. There are material and professional rewards too! In appreciation of their value to The Walking Classroom, Ambassadors will receive an array of Walking Classroom supplies, promotional items, and swag! In addition, they will be able to host a webinar tied to The Walking Classroom. Finally, they can apply to receive material and financial support to present at conferences on behalf of The Walking Classroom. Not bad!
Could You Be Next?
Now you are likely pondering just how you can join this crew! If you are interested in becoming a Walking Classroom Ambassador, (1) keep up the good work and (2) be on the lookout for Ambassador application forms in March 2019. Who knows? Maybe you will be one of the next group of Walking Classroom Ambassadors selected next May!
In the meantime, thanks for your ongoing active involvement with The Walking Classroom AND for all you do for your students!
Happy Trails!
