Winter is with us, but we’re not exactly hibernating here at The Walking Classroom! In fact, we’re busy preparing for a number of upcoming conferences and education events we will appear at in the next few months.
From School Events . . .
National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators Conference
January 30 – February 2
First, The Walking Classroom starts the year exhibiting at the National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators Conference. Held in Kansas City, Missouri, this event is the largest conference for federal education programs, and it will have over 3,000 attendees!
Formerly the National Title I Association, The National Association of Elementary and Secondary Act ESEA) State Programs has not only changed its name. In addition, it has shifted its focus, as it is working to address the needs of those supported by all the programs funded by the ESEA.
Besides the conference’s six keynote presentations, it also features over 100 sessions. These cover one of three themes: Instruction, Leadership, or Policy.
North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES) 2019 Conference
March 6 – 8
Then in March, you can see The Walking Classroom in Raleigh, North Carolina, exhibiting at the NCTIES 2019 Conference.
Not only tech facilitators and coaches number among this event’s 3,500 attendees. There are also teachers, administrators, and media specialists. All will have plenty to do, since the event includes meet and greets, keynotes, featured speakers, and demonstrations too.

. . . to Out-of-School Time!
Not a classroom educator? Not a problem! The Walking Classroom also exhibits at out-of-school time events. That way, these professionals can also learn more about The Walking Classroom.
Beyond School Hours XXII National Education Conference
February 20 – 22
In February, The Walking Classroom will be in Atlanta, Georgia, exhibiting at Beyond School Hours XXII. The conference is sponsored by Foundations, Inc., a nonprofit working to improve educational opportunities for children.
Beyond School Hours XXII provides professional development its 2,000 attendees, who work with students of all ages. It includes two keynote speakers, panel sessions, and over 200 workshops. There are several site visits and pre-conference sessions on the schedule as well!
National Afterschool Association (NAA) Annual Convention
March 15 – 17
After that, we will be in New York, New York for the NAA Annual Convention. There, The Walking Classroom will exhibit and present, so be sure to look for us on the schedule.
This convention is attended by over 2,500 afterschool professionals and leaders. It provides plenty of opportunities to learn, network, and be inspired, since there are special events, workshops and intensive sessions, and several keynotes too.
