As a Title I teacher in my school, I use The Walking Classroom in conjunction with the classroom teacher. We teachers tag team, working together to deliver the lesson.
The first two days, I introduce the topic and vocabulary to half of the class, and their teacher walks with them. On days three and four, I walk with half of the class listening to podcast and teacher presents a self-created mini lesson on the topic.
When we are finished with the topic, we also work together to create a study guide for the students, with the students’ input.
