Our students have been raving each week about participating in The Walking Classroom! The fifth-grade classes have designed a walking path to use whenever they are listening. This has contributed to students becoming more self-sufficient (and dependable!) when participating and taking care of the equipment we use.
One student has said: “My most favorite thing about it is we get to walk around and use it while it’s teaching us!” Another shared: “It is very useful and fun. I like that we kids can walk or do exercise while listening. And we can also learn a lot of new things.”
Here at McDeeds Creek Elementary, The Walking Classroom has been a blessing! We are able to introduce and involve our children with another outlook on how they can learn. We look forward to continuing to implement this into our curriculum.
