Hello Friends!
We know getting started with a new program like The Walking Classroom can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! For those of you who are new to The Walking Classroom, we want to help get you up and running quickly. And for our adopters who have been using the program a while, we’ve not forgotten you either! There is always something new to learn and try that just might become a new favorite.
In addition to our Teacher Resources section on this website, our Program Manager, Kalie Mitchell, has put together a fabulous collection of tips, ideas, and sample materials and put them on Pinterest so you can easily access them whenever you want.
A sampling of the topics include:
Tips for managing the program: Find information about ways to simplify WalkKit storage, start a “Wall of Fame,” track your progress, etc.
Ideas for keeping the program fresh: Think things like a game of “Jeopardy” instead of the comprehension quiz after listening to a podcast, giving students a “free-choice” Friday, and more.
Ways to supplement the curriculum: Find materials to add on to a lesson after you’ve listened to a podcast.
