RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Fox Road Elementary School in Raleigh has kids outside for more than just recess this year.
Amy Schott’s fifth grade class uses “The Walking Classroom” twice a week.
Schott received a grant to participate in the program owned by a Chapel Hill based company. According to their philosophy, activity improves cognitive function.
“It’s usually a 12-17 minute walk and they suggest you use the podcast twice before you take the test they provide,” said Schott.
