Autumn will hit its stride in mid-September, and The Walking Classroom will hit the road shortly thereafter! Our fall schedule has staff members on the go, with appearances at several state (and national) education events. Maybe we’ll see you at one of them!
Fall Education Conferences for TWC
American School Health Association Conference – Cincinnati, OH
October 2 – 4
In October, The Walking Classroom’s creator, Laura Fenn, will exhibit and present at The American School Health Association Conference. This year’s event will be in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati.
The conference has four tracks, and will cover administration, programs and services, research and emerging issues, and teaching and learning. Administrators, counselors, dietitians, nutritionists, health educators, physical educators, school nurses, and school social workers will be among the attendees. Be sure to catch Laura’s presentation on Thursday, October 3, at 2:00 p.m.
Florida Association for the Gifted (FLAG) Conference – Cape Canaveral, FL
October 11-12
Then, Natalie Dekle, the Program Director for The Walking Classroom,will exhibit and present at the Florida Association for the Gifted (FLAG) Conference. This will take place at Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Attendees include classroom teachers, administrators, college and university faculty, counselors and school psychologists, gifted education researchers, and parents of gifted children. With eight workshop strands, the conference will introduce its attendees to innovative strategies and gifted curricula. There will be opportunities for networking too! Visit Salon II on Friday, October 11, at 3:00 p.m. for Natalie’s presentation.
South Carolina EdTech Conference – Greenville, SC
November 6 – 8
In November, The Walking Classroom will exhibit at The South Carolina EdTech Conference, the state’s premier education technology conference. 1,200 administrators, teachers, technology coordinators, and media specialists will attend. Held at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, South Carolina, it promotes the use of educational technology in the state.
The conference includes a variety of workshops, presentations, speakers, recognition events, and 200 exhibits! Stop by Booth 210, and say hello to The Walking Classroom’s Communications Director, Lee Ann Obringer.
Indiana Association of School Principals Conference – Indianapolis, IN
November 24
Next, The Walking Classroom’s Sales Representative, Dave Yoder, will exhibit at the Indiana Association of School Principals Conference. Held at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana, the conference is attended by school leaders from around the state. With dynamic keynote speakers and a variety of concurrent sessions, the conference provides principals with a professional development opportunity of their own!
Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association Conference – Acme, MI
December 4 – 6
After that, Dave Yoder will represent The Walking Classroom at the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association Conference. The event will be at the Grand Traverse Resort in Acme, Michigan.
With more than 400 attendees, it offers elementary and middle level administrators the opportunity for ongoing professional and administrative growth. The conference schedule includes several keynotes, a wealth of breakout sessions, and dedicated vendor time!
