Hello Amazing Teachers!
Tomorrow is Walktober kickoff day! Are you ready? Don’t forget, the winning class gets a Fitbit One and the students will get shoelace locks, which are pretty cool as well. (Read the original “Walktober” blog post here.)
Each week we’ll publish a new blog post with fun “Walktober” theme ideas, so make sure you either subscribe to our blog via RSS or email or check our Web site frequently.
First off…
We recommend downloading, printing, and laminating our Monthly Walking Log poster to easily keep track of your walking. If you’re not sure what we’re talking about, check out Kalie’s “Every Step Counts” post from last week.
› Download the Monthly Walking Log here.
At the end of the month we’ll be asking you to take a photo of a student —or even your whole class— holding the sign showing how many Walktober miles you logged. (See upload instructions here.)
Important things to remember
- You have to post to social media AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK to qualify for the contest.
