I feel so incredibly fortunate to have received the The Walking Classroom as a grant!
Having first read about the program in the spring of 2017, I applied for a full grant. I had given up hope by the end of the school year in late May.
Well, lo and behold, I received an email in mid August notifying me that I had been awarded a full grant! I was busting at the seams to spread the great news with anyone who would listen.
As we anxiously awaited our WalkKits, I shared every email that I received from the staff at The Walking Classroom with my class. We had discussions about our expectations and treatment of our new prized possessions.
When the shipment arrived, I carefully opened the box in front of my class. I wish I had recorded the event because the excitement was palpable!
We have enjoyed and learned from every podcast since then. I have kids pleading with me to do The Walking Classroom every day instead of just three times a week.
