Excited for The Walking Classroom!

11.14.18
posted by a Walking Classroom Adopter

I can’t tell you how much my students and I appreciate our Walking Classroom program. My students always whisper an excited “Yes!” when The Walking Classroom shows up on our daily schedule.

The Walking Classroom is a complete “win-win.” In an academic-filled school day, the students get to experience a standards-based lesson outside in fresh air and they get exercise at the same time.

I also like how the students are learning how to focus on content that’s delivered auditorily. Many students learn visually. I feel like this program helps to strengthen their different learning modalities.

The Walking Classroom has lessons that appropriately supplement the fifth-grade curriculum, and it gets kids moving! It’s amazing!

Hi Kelly, I am in agreement with you…it is so important that we use different sources to be able to reach every learner. I believe the Walking Classroom has helped my students focus and concentrate while walking, listening, and learning the contents in the podcasts. Best wishes!
