I just wanted to say how excited I was to use the podcast on effective interviews! I assigned my students an interview with someone who was alive during 9/11. It’s sometimes tough to get across expectations of good interview questions.
After state testing, and with no P.E. that day, it was a good time for a walk. We walked and listened to Conducting Effective Interviews (5-#93). Then we came in and shared examples of questions that would work well for the 9/11 interviews. We used the “5 W’s and an H” strategy outlined in the podcast.
I was amazed at the questions that my students developed, and thrilled with their enthusiasm about the project. I couldn’t wait to read their interviews!
Thank you to The Walking Classroom!
