A corny joke to share on your first back to school walk!
Why was the broom late to class?
It over-swept! (snort!)
Hi friends! It’s “the most wonderful time of the year” — depending on your perspective!
With kids going back to school, schedules are going back to some level of normal, and many of us are feeling the excitement of a new learning adventure for our kids.
If you’ve been taking regular family walks over the summer while listening to podcasts from The Walking Classroom then “YAY” for you and your kids!
Keep up your walks, even after school starts. There is nothing better for building happy memories than time spent with your kids while you’re being active, getting fresh air, and learning something at the same time.
(Don’t know what we’re talking about? It’s never too late to start a good habit. Details are below. Learn more here on our blog.)
Challenge yourself and your kids!
Quiz each other after you listen with the questions from the free lesson plans, and don’t forget to keep up with your mileage with the free tracker! Both are available either when you download the mobile app or download the podcasts from our website.
And don’t forget to kick off your walk with our “broom” joke.
Share, share, share!
Please share your Walking Classroom experience with your child’s teachers this fall. Kids really do love the program. Teachers often report that they have 100% attendance on Walking Classroom days. (That’s kids wanting to go back to school and not “over-sweeping”!) HAHA
