How do I sign up?
Before you start shopping, visit smile.amazon.com to select The Walking Classroom as your designated charity for the AmazonSmile program. This ensures all donations from your eligible purchases made on Amazon.com go to helping children learn with The Walking Classroom.
Can I use my existing account?
You will use your same Amazon.com login — all of your Amazon settings will remain the same. Just bookmark smile.amazon.com and begin your Amazon shopping there. Everything else is the same.
How much of my purchase does Amazon donate?
Donation amounts are calculated based on the price of the item. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to The Walking Classroom. Eligible products are marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail page. Your Amazon.com shopping experience remains the same, but now you are contributing to The Walking Classroom and helping children get healthier AND smarter while building lifelong healthy habits.
All payment methods available on Amazon.com, including Shop with Points, are available for use on AmazonSmile. Recurring Subscribe-and-Save purchases and subscription renewals are not currently eligible.
Can I receive a tax deduction for amounts donated from my purchases on AmazonSmile?
Donations are made by the AmazonSmile Foundation and are not tax-deductible by you. There is no additional cost to you at your online checkout for this donation from Amazon.
