Over the course of The Walking Classroom’s existence, we have come to know many wonderful educators who have become adopters of our program. This includes both teachers and out-of-school professionals. These folks make it a pleasure to do what we do. They continually inspire us, provide valuable feedback, and encourage us to do our best so that they can better serve those in their care.
Walking Classroom Ambassadors
Among the many educators we have met (virtually and in person!), a number have exceeded our expectations. How have they done that? They have impressed us not only with their dedication to their profession, but also their implementation of The Walking Classroom. To celebrate them and to express our gratitude for all they do for their students, for their schools, and for us, we have identified eleven educators as Walking Classroom Ambassadors.
This new initiative will annually recognize a select group of folks who go above and beyond in their commitment to their profession, and in their demonstration of best practices in their use of our program. This year’s Ambassadors earned this distinction for their successful utilization and ongoing promotion of The Walking Classroom, as well as for their sharing of invaluable insights and innovative ideas.
Wondering just who is part of this inaugural group of Ambassadors? Over the next several months, you will have the opportunity to “meet” these educators in several ways. Those selected will appear on a Walking Classroom Ambassadors page on our website and be profiled as part of a series in our blog. They will also be highlighted in our monthly newsletter and annual report.
Recognition and More
Being a Walking Classroom Ambassador is not without its benefits. These go well beyond recognition in electronic and print media. There are material and professional rewards too! In appreciation of their value to The Walking Classroom, Ambassadors will receive an array of Walking Classroom supplies, promotional items, and swag! In addition, they will be able to host a webinar tied to The Walking Classroom. Finally, they can apply to receive material and financial support to present at conferences on behalf of The Walking Classroom!
You Could be Next!
With all these benefits, no doubt adopters reading this post are wondering just how they can become Walking Classroom Ambassadors! It’s actually quite simple. Be on the lookout for Ambassador application forms in March 2017. Maybe you will be one of the next group of Walking Classroom Ambassadors selected in May!
In the meantime, thanks for your ongoing active involvement with The Walking Classroom AND for all you do for your students!
Happy Trails!
