Yes, it is finally the moment for which you all have been waiting. It is time for the announcement of the winners of The Walking Classroom’s 2018 Illustration Contest!
Over the past couple of months, large manila envelopes have been intermittently appearing in our office. They have been laden with entries for our annual illustration contest! Because we offered prizes for the winners and runners-up for the three different options, there were a variety of creative and colorful illustrations submitted.
The guidelines . . .
This year’s contest presented several possibilities for student artists, as their end product could be from any one of the following three categories.
- Draw pictures of your class walking, listening and learning (and, of course, smiling!).
- Illustrate your favorite podcast.
- Create a before and after walking illustration. What do you look like before and then after a Walking Classroom lesson?
By the time we had opened all of the envelopes, we had quite the array of artful illustrations from which to choose. While it was a pleasure looking through the many masterpieces, it was not easy selecting our winners!
And the winners are . . .
